Historical Overview
The original and the best, we have been performing sleep studies for over 20 years at the Wesley Hospital, having commenced our service in 1989. Our Wesley Hospital Sleep Investigation Unit is located in Ward 2W. Our highly trained polysomnographic nursing staff are skilled in the performance of diagnostic and treatment sleep studies. Our Wesley Hospital Sleep Investigation Unit is complemented by our Wesley Medical Centre Sleep Investigation Unit and our RiverCity Hospital Sleep Investigation Unit located on the western side of the railway line separating the two hospitals. In combination, we offer 11 well appointed sleep investigation beds for conducting rapid diagnostic and treatment sleep studies. Our Brisbane Sleep Health Centre, where patients can attend for our Insomnia Programme, CPAP, Bilevel or ASV equipment management or our Sleep health Programme also spans both campuses. It is important for patients and referring Doctors to note that our expert service should not be confused with the recently opened Thoracic and Sleep Group (Queensland) service who have called themselves the Wesley Hospital Sleep Disorders Centre.
